Surjan Singh, who lost a kid in an accident, solves a high-profile murder case which takes a toll on his marital life as a prostitute enters their life.
Police inspector Surjan Singh Shekhawat (Aamir Khan), is handling the murder case of movie star Armaan Kapoor. While the initial reports indicates it to be an accident, Surjan finds that it may have a connection with a blackmailing case.
He is facing own demons from the past. After the happy couple Surjan and Roshni (Rani Mukherjee) lost their only kid in an accident, they hardly communicate. As a result Surjan becomes workaholic while Roshni accepts the reality after a therapy.
As he investigates the case, he meets Tehmur who is a pimp's man and Rosy (Kareena Kapoor Khan), who help him in the case.
If you are going to theaters only because of Aamir Khan, you will not be dissapointed. The movie is a one-time watch.
