The movie is based on Chittagong's uprising and is now part of Bangladesh.

The lead roles are played by talented heroes of offbeat cinema, Manoj Bajpayee and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

The movie is an honest attempt by NASA scientist, Bedabrata Pain. The movie is based on Chittagong's (previously part of India) uprising of 1930s, which is now in Bangladesh.  
It is a true story of 14 year old boy Jhunku, who is brought up in a Bengali family. His father wants to send him to Oxford University and become barrister. Though, Jhunku has different plans of his own.

Freedom fighter Surya Sen (Manoj) or Masterda, builds an army of school kids to attack Britishers. Jhunku wants to follow his footsteps and impulsively joins the movement when called as traitor by his peers. He gets training from Masterda and achieves a significant success. Soon, he is arrested by Britishers and sent to Andaman Jail for 7 years. He returns to his village after having spent those years in prison and meets a certain truth.
Overall, the movie is a must watch for those who love their country.
