Daarji forgets the recipe of chicken curry, "Chicken Khurana", because of which the dhaba is famous in Punjab. How Omi manages the dhaba and gets his childhood sweetheart forms the crux of the plot.

India is a food obsessed country and the movie takes care of that.

 

The movie revolves around Omi (Kunal Kapoor), who ran away to London from his home a decade back, stealing money from his grandfather. He owes money from dangerous gangsters in London which lands him into trouble and returns back to home, expecting some monetary aid. He pretends that he is a successful lawyer and is back to meet his family. 

Now, he realizes that much has changed since then. The famous dhaba "Chicken Khurana", named after famous chicken preparation has shut down as his grandfather has forgotten the secret recipe, due to old age. 

Moreover, Omi's childhood sweetheart is about to get married to his cousin, and seems happy with it. He realizes that to set his life right, he must recover the lost recipe – the family's only hope.

How Omi manages the situation and tries to get his girlfriend back, is the whole idea of the movie.

You can see real Punjabi humor, a taste of Punjabi hospitality. It is a fun, enjoyable film.
